A great mental experiment

Let us play a little game. Read the phrase below out loud:

We are going to try and show you just how often what you see is not really what is there…you would agree that there is no way we can change what you just read and you really read what was printed in the box. Here comes the strange bit, it is more than likely that you read “You Won’t Get Me Out Of Your Head Guaranteed”. That is what 99% of people will have read, when in fact that is not what is written.

You see, when we read things, out minds are lazy and we only see what we want to see. We do not read each and every letter of a word, nor do we read every single word in a sentence. In fact if we did you would have read the phrase somewhat differently.

The phrase actually says: “You wont get me me out of your head”. The word “me” appears twice. Go on, take a look it really was there all along. Once at the end of the second line and then a second time at the end of the third line.
This is a really cool abnormality of the mind, try it on your friends and see if they too only read the “normal” phrase.
