New Home
I’ve moved my blog to a new location. This means I am able to update it easier, I can even send texts and emails to it and you’ll be able to read all about it. Even better still you can leave your comments, which this page hasn’t allowed for. AND of course it will mean the whole thing is archived so no more scrolling to catch up. To visit my new blog with today’s entry please visit http://mindofkennedy.blogspot.com.

The Beat Goes On
I know I said that I’d finish the story of ‘tomorrow’ and that was around three days ago, I’ve been super busy.
Yesterday I was at Newcastle Britania Airport Hotel working at the ‘Healthy People - Healthy Business 2007 Conference’ where I was to perform my after dinner show and then conduct a workshop.
After being introduced by Patric Price of the Northumberland Care Trust I entered to a really subdued round of almost-applause. It was just after lunch and as usual at these things the self indulgance undertaken as a free-for-all (aka a buffet) was had. So everyone was feeling a little lathargic, they were sitting back in their chairs and although making eye contact is usually a sign of attention you could see from the rest of their slumped, closed body language that they were looking for an easy ride after lunch. Wrong move because then I just have to turn them in to a frenzy.
After my opening remarks about who I am and what I was there to do some people started sitting up and paying some ‘real’ attention. I had now piqued some people’s interest by talking about a subject they were interested in, namely themselves (people are interested in themselves and things that benefit them) now I wanted to warm the room up and actually getting some energy in there. The two methods I favour are physical activity and laughter. Sometimes at these things I open my performances and speaking engagements with an activity where everyone stands up and gets involved. This time i thought they may be reluctant to stand so soon and there were about 180 of them.
I opted for comedy. So using some wit, and through picking on some people who looked like they could take it I well and truly broke the ice. Very soon we went from mild laughs in to real good roars of laughter.
The show proceeded to get a really wonderful response, people laughing in all the right places and of course the obligatory applauses and sounds of “no way!” when I read someone’s thoughts. The applause and huge laugh at the end showed me that everyone had thoroughly enjoyed what I had done and made me feel a little rosy inside.
On to the workshop. Just as an added ’seller’ before I closed my performance I told everyone that I’d be “looking at stress in new and exciting ways but if you are easily offended please do not come. The workshop is a participatory workshop that will challenge the way you think and feel. That said, it is already over subscribed so if you are not already on it and you want to be I’m afraid that you will not be able to sign up this time.” This bit of psychological NLP worked really well, in fact just the way I’d hoped. As soon as I closed my performance I had 8 people ask me if i could just squeezy “them” in.
Basically the language pattern I used made people desire the workshop so much more because they were told that they couldn’t have it due to it’s popularity. It also suggested that there will be a next time. Hopefully this was digested by the organisers. In fact because of the incredible outcomes we achieved in the workshop I am very hopeful that the team see how incredible the changes were in these people’s thinking and will invite me back again.
The workshop itself was really interesting and for some people it was a difficult journey. I asked people to enter a hightened state of awareness and to imagine a stressful situation. They were to think it, feel it, hear it. Using all of their senses they re-experienced that situation. This gave everyone an anchor for the entire session that they could work from knowing and understanding the effects of stress.
The remainder of the workshop coupled NLP techniques and ways of understanding with Drama Therapy techniques that allowed everyone to experience the techniques in action. You could really see people’s beliefs being challenged, the way they were thinking about their personal situations and how I was asking them to think about them was difficult but from the feedback it was sincerely rewarding.
After the session, the event organiser was glowing and excited to tell me that she had received a lot of interest in both my psychological mind reader entertainment show, and the workshop. So I am very excited to work with other businesses on their situations, giving them new tools to solve their problems using my skills and out of the box thinking.
See you soon,

Crazy Season
It’s that time of year again, merry Christmas from me and the rest of the guys and gals at Kennedy Towers.
It has been one heck of an exciting time, I’m sitting here with a cup of tea and an oatmeal flapjack, trying to recover from the sleep depravation that Belfast caused me. It all started on Friday.
I was flying miles above Newcastle with a black cape and mask on then my alarm went off. The sounds of Michael Bouble forced the morning on me at it was 6:00am. Yes in the morning and there I was thinking there was only one 6:00 in a day and that was tea-time.
Crawling out of bed I was to get ready to travel the 30 minutes to BBC Radio Newcastle’s HQ. Ironic. That morning I was to talk to Mike Parr, King of breakfast radio about motivation. Damn I really could have done with some of that at 6am. Hair done, teeth done, suit on my back and a sluggish stride off I went.
Mike was great. He seemed really interested in the ways I use my techniques of NLP, body language and generally ‘being nice’ to motivate people of all ages to achieve more, to do more. After a shorr chat I left the station and straight to the airport.
Destination: Belfast International. Which isn’t in Belfast. Makes perfect sense doesnt it? So I check in, bags weighed and boarding pass in hand. Off to departures where I was searched by a man. Exciting. So being me I decided to see if I could make him as uncomfortable as humanly possible.
As my suit jacket, keys and mobile phone were being passed through exray machines he was “patting me down”. So next time it happens to you just you try this:
As he pats you down make and maintain perfect eye contact and smile, try and engage him in friendly chat. Believe me these muscle men dont like it. They feel sexually threatened that they’re feeling up another bloke who is staring deep in to their eyes asking them about their day. A little glint of light in my heart.
I flew to Belfast to perform for Beggs and Partners’ staff celebration event. I went on at 9:40 and performed to a group of high spirited, drunk Irish men and women. Lots of comedy, I had to bash one guy in tothe ground with insults as he decided to try and have a go in the first 4 minutes. He quickly realised I may look youg but I WILL murder you.
The show lasted a little longer than advertised running on for an hour because of the high comedy content but I left the stage to a massive standing ovation. What a beautiful crowd.
After the show I had the obligatory pint of Kopperberg and was inundated with really lovely comments from some of the nicest people I have met. Including one senior manager who told me he’d “seen a lot butr this was the best show he’d ever seen” and offered to buy me a drink. It was a free bar. No comment.
I got o bed around 2am. I had to be up at 4:30am to catch my flight home for Saturday’s gig.
I’ll tell you the rest of the story tomorrow.

It has been a while.
I’m sorry I have neglected you for a while blog readers, I’ve just been so busy doing so much stuff i haven’t had time to sit and tell you about it all.
So what has your favorite, modest mind reader et psychological magician been up too all this time? I’ve been doing a lot of travelling. Spending equal times in London and Newcastle means I spend most of my days on trains or on planes.
Funny story. I got stopped going through check-in at Newcastle Airport because I forgot I had about 20 steel forks in my inside jacket pocket. I got the strangest looks before they binned my precious silverware.
This month I am excited to report that I have already performed a Grand Opening of a brand new Credit Union (a bit like a bank) in Northumberland where everyone seemed to enjoy me delving in to their minds (including the local MP Dennis Murphey). I have performed at a couple of private birthday parties including last Saturday’s event at the Apartment in Newcastle where a bunch of 18 year olds were swearing at me, having decided that I was “the coolest guy” that they know. Ahem, please.
Looking forward, I literally only have one evening off at the moment, every night I’m booked to perform either close up mind-reading or my stand up act. Before the end of the month I will be performing in London for a charity event, in Newcastle at more private parties, in Northumberland delivering training workshops and i’ll be flying to Belfast to perform my show at a corporate function.
December is looking to be busy too, but i’ll tell you more about that when the time comes. Until next time, watch what you’re thinking!

Tickets and Facebook for Me
Since my last entry here so darn much has happened, my team is ever expanding and I am proud to be working with Andy Walton of Kinghorn-Davies as my Press and Public Relations Manager. Andy is taking a lot of stress off me and is responsible for the rather exciting coverage that I have been getting recently. In the past week it seems like I havent been able to pick up a paper without reading about myself. I’m quite vein so I allow my ego to grow and then I promptly take a reality check as I carry on performing to people, which as you know is what I love to do.
Exciting news as tickets are now officially on sale for my new show Peer 6; Mind reading ,Can you Hide? - Why is it called Peer 6? What does it mean? What is the show about…well we have no idea because I havent written it yet. Okay so that’s a lie. The show is all ready and raring to go, and Peer 6 and what it means will become clear during the show. I’ve very excited about it. Oh if you do want to come and see the new show Ticket Web are supporting us so please click here to book online (its easier to to do that) or call their box office on 08700 600 100…ahem plug out the way I just want to say that the most difficult thing for me to do was to drop all of my old favourite routines, the blindfold, and the ESP symbols down the drain and start from scratch. I wanted the new show ‘Peer 6′ to be completely new and unlike anything I’ve done in the past show ‘Headliner’. So I am now very pleased to tell you I have achieved that rather difficult task and the new show is shaping up pretty well…modest as I am.
Final bit of news is that I have finally been persuaded to join Face Book. They have started up a new group for all things Kennedy so if you are a member have a look around for me, I am a member of the Newcastle Upon Tyne Network, add me and check out what I’m up too there, talk on the discussion board and generally make me feel loved.
Well, after all that I think i need another cup of tea…two sugars please madam!

Kennedy: Headliner
At long last, after a lot of hard work, time and effort from a whole bunch of people my show Headliner is finished on DVD. The taping documents the essence of the act that was filmed in front of a live, unrehearsed audience in April this year.
It will not be available or on sale just yet, but is going to be making its way to agents and bookers around the world who have been asking to see what it is I do and the reaction it gets from an audience.
That said, it is going to be available on sale by the end of the year. So whether you’ve seen my show live or not yet you will be able to take me home with you…oooh exciting
.
Kacie, my niece continues to bring light in to my life and has inspired the writing of my brand new show, as soon as I’m happy with it I will tell you all about it, dates times and places.
Once again thank you to everyone for all their kind words and support!

Uncle Kennedy
My sister Jayne gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Kacie. Isn’t she incredible. I will make her my number 1 fan
!
I have no doubt that I’ll have her bending her pram wheels and plastic feeding spoon by the age of three. Now there’s a challange and a half.
Moments like this really make you feel alive. Thanks for all the kind wishes.
Oh and thanks again for all the support for the upcoming premier of my new show on April 7th. I still have a few seats left so if you do want some free tickets you’re not too late, email me right now info@mindofkennedy.co.uk.

Incredible Website
I have discovered and absolutly amazingn website and I just have to show it to you. The guys on here are all about mind over matter and…bending forks. That’s right, regardless of whether you think it’s real or a load of clever trickery I think you’ll find the Fork You website really interesting. Click here.
Anyway, I must return to my tower for now, but more news on the way very soon!

New Home
Won’t you look at that, I go away for a couple of days and when I get back my Blog has been moved. As you can see the whole website has had a re-vamp and is looking a lot neater, making the whole thing easier to use so you can find the information you want, a whole lot easier.
We havent deleted any of the areas, so if you’re looking for a particular page and you cant find it…you may just have to look a little deeper.
As well as re-vamping the old areas the team have introduced a whole new section on “Infotainment”. This area showcases some exciting new emerging programmes that I have been devloping over the past 9 months. Including Tradeshow work, and my brand new Master Memory Course. As you can see, my very successful Motivation programmes are also listed in this area. This programme is going from strength to strenght and I’m really enjoying delivering it across the UK.
In the coming weeks I am hoping to develop a follow up programme for the Motivational sessions I offer so that the seeds I plant can be nurtured carefully.
Anyway, until next time. Have a good snoop around the whole site, you never know what you might discover!

Small Changes Make Big Waves
Regular visiters to the website will notice that some, what would appear minor changes will be taking place. You may notice a sleight alteration in the ‘Newsletter’ at the top right of the page as we are changing the way we run the newsletter.
After having upgraded from a monthly newsletter to a weekly one, I was finding it difficult to deliver each installment on time, every time. So this system will allow me to do that so that you will be guaranteed to recieve your weekly dose of mind mastery tips, as well as updates on my shows and things.
Another area of change will be the navigation. As you know we (Andy and Paul and I) spent a lot of time researching and developing the new website to make it user friendly and info-packed. Well you will see that due to the way it has expanded, the navigation has got somewhat confusing. So i have re-designed the way the site will be navigated to make it easier for everyone. A major example of that will be the fact that this blog will soon be moving homes, out of the ‘Who Is He?’ area and into the new re-furbished laboratory area.
The Lab area is going to be getting a face lift too, in the very near future.
Soi far as gigs go, last night was another busy night full of fun and frollic, tonight i am performing at the Newcastle United Football Club, and driving straight to the assembly rooms in Newcastle to perform my cabaret mind reading show for RMT Accountancy Company.
So all in all…lots of fun to come and I still have my weekend holiday booked in for the 16th - 18th February where I’m off to London to see shows, watch street entertainment and marvel at Tower Bridge.

I have the best clients in the world.
I really mean that. This week has been none stop, the telephone has been busier than ever, it has barely stopped ringing (apologies if you tried to get through but the line was engaged) and we’ve taken more email bookings for events in 2007 and 2008 than ever before.
And it’s all thanks to you. I really do have the best clients in the world, you know then i get most of my work through you personally telling people about me, mentioning my name, writing to people you work with and telling them about what I do.
I’d like to give personal mention to the following fantastic Clients of the Month:
Newcastle University, Fran Smith
Budget Insurance, performing at their annual managers event tomorrow night.
James Guffie, I’m performing at James’ wedding later this year!
RMT Accountancy, performing at their annual company dinner in February 2006.
If you recommend a new client to me, i will not only mention you here in my blog, but in the monthly Appreciation column in my Members Only Newsletter (sign up at the top of this page right now for your free gift).
Thanks again for all the love and support.

Loving It
I just got back from a really excellent gig, feeling that the audience really enjoyed themselves and knowing full well that I really did too. It seems that the more I perform the funnier my show gets which is pretty cool.
I recieved a great piece of feedback from one of my clients, which is great. I get most of my bokkings from people referring me to their friends and people they know, so feedback is what i really need more than anything. I was so pleased to here that the JLGB event i performed at in Birmingham a few weeks ago had been so well recieved. They said kind things about me like “I’d highly reccommend Kennedy, for his friendly and helpful service, and his hugely enjoyable performance”…its things like this that make that warm fuzzy feeling inside.
I’d like to give a special mention to Dan Long for referring an event to me, thanks Dan…without people like you i’d never perform. I’d also like to welcome

Its All Change
Over the past few days i have been working on my new show for 2007 and a huge part of that is research. I mean a lot of research.
The kind of research i do is varied, i like reading books, I enjoy searching online, but most of all I really love talking to people and finding out their views on the kinds of things I do.
This morning I talked with someone who had seen my show only a month ago, after being very nice to me they confessed that one thing they didnt like is that everyone went away thinking “that’s all well and good, Kennedy says that anyone can do this stuff with the right commitment and training, but where do i find out more”.
As soon as we parted company, I got on the phone to the office and sprang a suprise on them. If people are interested in what i do and want more information, want to do some research of their own then I want to be willing and able to help them. However my hectic schedule means that I am unable to devote too much time to helping on a 1 to 1 basis, which is what I’s love to do. (Maybe one day!!)
So, instead I have found some really cool resources on my favoutire online bookstore, Amazon and devoted an entire page to listing them. If you DO want to develop some of the kinds of skills i use and am continuing to develop myself, click on this link HERE and you will be taken to my BRAND NEW resources page! RESOURCES
I had to drop by to let you know about it, until next time.
Kindest thoughts,
Kennedy

Happy New Year
I just dropped by to wish everyone a very happy and successful 2007. I have been working none-stop over Christmas and New Year and have been travelling right across the UK performing for some really amazing crowds.
I’ve performed in London, Birmingham andof course in Newcastle, North and South Shileds, Whitley Bay at Christmas parties, birthdays and New Year’s paties and have absolutly loved every second of it all.
High lights have included performing for the JLGB in Birmingham, everyone was so kind to me, in fact i was having such a good time i took over the staff area and performed a staff only ‘After Hours Show’ which was great fun.
Christmas has been really lovely, surrounded by family and friends who are so dear to me, my sister Jayne is expecting to give birth any time now and so next year we will have a new little face for Christmas Dinner. Really looking forward to that.
So much excitement this year with an extended invitation to perform in Barcelona again a few times this year, as well as more shows in London and private functions all over the place.
Tomorrow i will be taking the day off to spend with family again and then i will be back on the road performing.
See you soon.
