Since it’s corporate entertainment booking season it’s no wonder we’ve had the most interesting conversations with would-be clients over the past 3 or so weeks. One person called and spoke to me and wanted to hire ‘the psychic’ for their corporate event in September- which I thought was interesting.
Of course I let the person know that if they want to hire a psychological mind reader then I am the man for the job, but if they want a psychic entertainer or someone to ‘talk to the dead’ I wouldn’t be able to to help them.
It’s important to know the difference between what I do and what a psychic does. Here’s a list of differences off the top of my head between me (psychological mind reader) and a psychic (probable fraudster):
You might see that I poke fun and often debunk psychics, but ask yourself ‘why?’. The simplest answer is that I’ve not seen a single thing one of these psychics does that I haven’t been able to duplicate, make more impressive and more entertaining – without having to pretend it’s anything other than a little bit of acting, strange logic and a bit of know-how.
