Right now your staff are fully aware of businesses closing down and making mass job cuts left right and centre. The problem here is that this reduces motivation in your staff, and when they ain’t motivated they’re costing you more money.
Many of the smarter companies (large ones and especially the smaller ones) are realising how important it is to build confidence in the workforce. The way they are doing this is through celebrating achievements at awards-type events.
The key to a successful awards presentation is that it looks like you have spent some time and some money on it. Doing it ‘on the cheap’ will defeat the purpose altogether.
After the awards have been handed out and everyone is buzzing with confidence in themselves and in your business, this is a great time to entertain them and give them a really good time.
