84 feet above the River Tyne in Newcastle sits the regions landmark bridge. 2 days ago a so-called ‘friend’ of mine signed me up to zip-line from the thing, across a river – all in the name of charity. There are 3 problems.
I hate rides at theme parks, they’re too high and too fast but at least they’re permanent. What my friend Amanda is forcing me to do is chuck myself off a bridge, over a river (slow, terrible drowning) at a very fast rate along a zip-line.
It gets worse. You might know that I am a bit on the vain side of things…and they want me to do it dressed as a super hero.
Yes it’s for charity, it’s for Smile For Life children’s charity and so I have a hard time turning it down. BUT…I’ll only do it with enough support.
Truthfully my initial response to Amanda’s Tweet was “@iamyoulimited you can f**k off”. The problem is that Amanda has been on a number of my persuasion training courses and used my own evil schemes against me.
So here’s the deal:
If 1000 people combined tweet @mindofkennedy saying “I want @mindofkennedy to jump off the Tyne bridge for Smile For Life Childrens Charity” and posts to similar effect on this Facebook page…I’ll do it. I’ll probably cry, but I’ll do it okay? But there must be at least a thousand, not one less or I’ll just blame that as my excuse to bottle it.
